Autonomes Fahren: So weit ist Mobileye

Sehr spannendes Update von Johann Jungwirth über den aktuellen Stand von Mobileye beim autonomen Fahren.

We have just released an actual video of our autonomous vehicle technology, unedited, driving in Jerusalem, and this is the maturity and agility of driving with just (!!!) the Computer Vision-based subsystem, based on 12 cameras surrounding the future Robotaxi vehicles.

We are the only Self-Driving System-provider who is developing two subsystems completely independent of each other, one computer vision-based, and another Radar-/LiDAR-based. We call this True Redundancy and it is a big competitive advantage, as well as the right thing to do to ensure and validate several orders of magnitude safer driving than humans prior to releasing our Robotaxi fleets for driverless Mobility-as-a-Service around the world.

This is a ride with only the Computer Vision-based subsystem.
